The Zing Team has started off 2007 right with 3 birds on the ground so far, all with great footage . 1 with a bow and 2 with a shotgun, Jason Matzinger started it off with a late evening bow hunt that produced a good bird that could not resist the calls. Junior De Gidio followed up the following morning with another good bird that gobbled and strutted all the way across a large river bottom field. Then Tim Matzinger finished the weekend with another good bird that came charging in and stuck around a bit too long. All in all a good couple of days in Eastern Montana chasing Merriam's around and the Team will be back out in a week or so to see if they can fill a few more tags and capture some more great hunts.

A couple of weeks after Jason stuck his merriam’s turkey he found himself right smack in the middle of bear season. Although he had his sights set on a huge blackie he had seen early in the season he was not about to pass a shot up at this awsome cinnamon phase boar. Jason finally caught up to this bruin on May 14 while hunting by himself one evening. He spotted this bruin high on the mountain side feeding in a open meadow. One well placed shot right before dark and this great 6' bear was his!
